As a kid my parents bought me a Polaroid Land Camera for a one-week camping vacation with the Girl Scouts. I was mesmerized by the magical process of an image instantly developing before my eyes; a historical record of a moment the final product. Fascinating for my young, creative eyes!
As a young woman, a vision impairment and challenge is what really ignited my ability to creatively see the world before me. This experience has forever transformed me, enabling me to authentically and passionately see beauty, mystery, and despair in my surroundings. I get very excited by this thing called life, inspired by both the gritty and golden in our world. These feelings overwhelm me with an obsessive desire to capture the many moments that inspire and move me.
Photography is who I am.
